"Horses are strange and compelling, mysterious and still affectionately familiar. Like other things in life, they can appear straightforward unless you look very closely, unless you spend a specific type and amount of time with them. In my work I paint them as specific individuals as well as use them to express what is unseen, mystical and imagined. My process is to let forms rise up through memories, dreams, intuition and emotions. In the end, I am usually surprised by what was found or what spoke."

Sharron was born in 1956 in Los Angeles, CA. She is married to Russ Evans. They live on their remote homestead-era ranch in central Utah. Sharron has had a life-long relationship with equines of all kinds and she currently has 3 horses, 2 mules and 2 burros.
